Welcome to Sarah & Weekend Retreat Fundraising + Wishlist

Hello Bellis Community!

We hope that you are enjoying your summer and are finding time to let the days flow without rushing or anticipation. It is hard when the time is fleeting, and it feels as though there is so much to fit in.  I came across this poem the other day:

Let July be July. Let August be August. And let yourself just be even in the uncertainty. You don’t have to fix everything. You don’t have to solve everything. And you can still find peace and grow in the wild of changing things.
— Morgan Harper Nichols

All will unfold as it needs to, and we are capable of far more than we allow ourselves to believe. I hope you know this to be true as you move about your days. I must remember this messaging as it feels like it is always a busy time, but I am so very grateful to welcome a new face to Bellis to help us navigate our growth and expansion.

Sarah Hernandez

M.Ed., Licensed Parent and Family Educator

Director of Education, Programming, and Training

We are thrilled to announce the hiring of Sarah Hernandez, M.Ed. and Licensed Parent and Family Educator as our Director of Education. Sarah comes to us initially as an independent contractor to help us write our facilitator training manual. She took the project by storm and delved so deeply and thoughtfully into the work, she was a natural candidate for this position.

Sarah will complete the facilitator training manual and develop a two-day training and support for organizations that purchase our training model. Sarah brings a tremendous amount of compassion, insight, and evidence-based knowledge to this work. Once again, that Bellis magic has shown up to bring the right person to fill in the right spot. Welcome, Sarah!

Unbelieveably, we have the 12th Annual Bellis Weekend Retreat coming up in two short months. So far, we have 18 women registered for the retreat hailing from California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. We are capping attendance at 20 to maintain the deep connectivity of the group. It is amazing that Bellis’ reach has spanned the country in this way and the impact of the support is so great that women are willing to travel this distance to attend. It is a true testament to the work we are doing, and it gives us great confidence to know that this support is making a difference in the lives of the women we support. As always, the retreat is free for participants to attend with the cost for Bellis totaling around $10,000. If the retreat is something that speaks to you, we would be so very grateful for your donation. Thank you so much for your consideration.

There are three ways to contribute to the Weekend Retreat:

  1. Please donate online here

  2. Send a physical check payable to Bellis at our new mailing address 2038 Ford Parkway, PMB 457, Saint Paul MN 55116

  3. And/or purchase items on our Amazon Wishlist!

Again, we are so very grateful for your words and actions of support. Each contribution means so very much and we hope you know that you make an incredible difference. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
