Evening of Connection

Evening of Connection - our beautiful monthly gathering of conversations and perspectives.

In the safe space of Bellis, all adults touched by adoption or foster care, including birth and adoptive parents and grandparents, adopted persons, and anyone with foster care experience are welcome to share stories and listen to one another in an intentional setting. Conversations are centered around the journey of shared experiences and ambiguous grief. Navigating holidays, birthdays, special days, plain old regular days and emotions are all part of the journey. Come share or come receive through others—you are not alone. No cost to attend.

Coordinator Marsha Grund and Facilitator Melanie Waller welcome and guide discussions.

This event is available virtually only. Click here to join our gathering online.

Stronger Together Indigenous Women's Group Meeting

Bellis hosts weekly online gatherings Mondays at 6:30pm central time, exclusively for Indigenous women who have experienced termination (or transfer) of their legal parental rights. This is an opportunity to discuss grief, loss, and what it means to walk through life as a mother who isn't parenting from an Indigenous background. For privacy, facilitators will ask that participants join the online meetings from a private space. Thank you!

Mondays are led by a licensed Indigenous woman who believes the mother who heals in this lifetime also heals the generations to come because, in her wellness, she is able to bring healing and wellness to her community. This group is open to all Indigenous (Native American) women nationwide whose children are parented by others.

Details:

  • Whether your case was finalized months ago or years ago, you are welcome to this free, safe & confidential conversation as Indigenous mothers.

  • A host will facilitate discussions. But the heart of the program is women with shared experiences lifting each other in acceptance, compassion, and friendship. No shame. No judgment.

  • Use this form to learn more. You’ll receive an email each Monday morning with a link to join meetings.

Stronger Together Support Group Meeting

Bellis hosts weekly online gatherings Thursday at 12 p.m. central time, exclusively for women who have experienced termination (or transfer) of their legal parental rights. Details:

  • Whether your case was finalized months ago or years ago, you are welcome to this free, safe & confidential conversation.

  • A host will facilitate discussions. But the heart of the program is women with shared experiences lifting each other in acceptance, compassion, and friendship. No shame. No judgment.
